David Falconer -
Head
Professional Coach
David Falconer was raised at 12 Tyneside Ave, next door to the laneway to
our Willoughby courts, and played all his junior tennis at the club.
He won his first Club Championship Singles title at the age of seventeen.
Hoping to break into the professional ranks while playing satellite tournaments,
David's hopes and ambitions of playing professional tennis were shattered by a
reoccurring back injury.
At the age of nineteen, he set out to become a tennis coach. David first started
teaching at Love'n'Deuce, then started his own coaching school at Tyneside Ave,
which then expanded to Tennis Valley (now Tennis Cove). |

He sold the business to move on to other adventures which included establishing
Tennis Fairways, Kirribilli Tennis Centre.
David was then approached by Brad Drewett to run tennis within the Darling
Harbour Sports complex. This was a great honour as it was a very high profile
position and he went on to become the Events Manager of Darling Harbour Sports.
At the beginning of 1992 David returned to Tennis Cove as the Head Professional
Coach.
David is an Advanced Level Coach with Tennis Coaches Australia and has the ability to coach
players at any level.
